Frei Paulistano e Lagarto conhecem adversários da Copa do Brasil 2020

O atual campeão sergipano e o campeão simbólico da primeira fase do Sergipano deste ano conheceram, na tarde de quinta-feira, 12, os adversários de estreia na Copa do Brasil 2020. Os confrontos da primeira fase da competição foram definidos em sorteio realizado na sede da CBF. Ao todo, 80 times conheceram seus adversários na rodada de estreia da competição, prevista para os dias 5 e 12 de fevereiro.

Nesta primeira etapa, a classificação será disputada em jogo único, com vantagem do empate para o clube visitante, melhor colocado de acordo com o Ranking Nacional de Clubes da CBF. Por exemplo: Altos e Vasco se enfrentarão com mando da equipe piauiense. O Cruzmaltino terá a vantagem do empate para avançar para a próxima fase.

Na segunda fase, os mandos de campo já estarão definidos conforme o sorteio de hoje. Mas, em caso de empate, a disputa será nos pênaltis. 

A partir das oitavas de final entram na competição os clubes classificados para a Taça Libertadores da América (Flamengo, Athletico-PR, Santos, Palmeiras, Grêmio, São Paulo, Internacional e Corinthians) e os campeões da Brasileiro Série B (Bragantino), Copa do Nordeste (Fortaleza) e Copa Verde (Cuiabá).

O Frei Paulistano, atual campeão sergipano, está na chave três e vai enfrentar o Remo-PA, atual campeão paraense e que disputa o Brasileiro da Série C. Quem vencer vai encarar o vencedor de Brusque-SC (atual campeão da Série D) ou Sport-PE (que está de volta ao Brasileirão). 

O Lagarto, campeão simbólico da primeira fase do Campeonato Sergipano, está na chave 7 e vai enfrentar o Volta Redonda-RJ, representante do Cariocão e do Brasileiro da Série C. Quem vencer vai encarar o vencedor de Imperatriz-MA (representante do Brasileiro da Série C) ou Vitória-BA (representante da Série B).

Times da Libertadores entrarão nas oitavas e poderão se enfrentar de cara

Nas oitavas de final entrarão no torneio: os times que disputam a Libertadores: Athlético-PR, Corinthians, Flamengo, Grêmio, Internacional, Palmeiras, Santos e São Paulo; o Bragantino (campeão da Série B); o Fortaleza (campeão da Copa do Nordeste) e o Cuiabá (campeão da Copa Verde). A novidade é que, diferentemente do ano anterior, todas as equipes ficarão no mesmo pote no sorteio das oitavas. Ou seja, as equipes que competem no torneio continental poderão duelar entre si já de cara.

Sobre o torneio de 2020:

• A primeira fase será em jogo único, com o time pior colocado no ranking atuando como mandante. O visitante jogará pelo empate;

• A segunda fase também será em jogo único. O mandante será sorteado. Empate leva a disputa para os pênaltis;

• O sorteio desta quinta-feira define o caminho do time até a terceira fase, quando começam os duelos em dois jogos;

• Os confrontos da quarta fase - oitavas de final e quartas de final - serão sorteados

• A decisão da Copa do Brasil será nos dias 10 (quinta-feira) e 16 (quarta-feira) de setembro

Frei Paulistano and Lagarto meet Brazil Cup 2020 opponents

The current Sergipano champion and the symbolic champion of the first phase of Sergipano this year met, on Thursday afternoon, 12 December, the debut opponents of the Brazil Cup 2020 from BFC. In all, 80 teams met their opponents in the opening round of the competition, scheduled for 5 February and 12 February.

In this first stage, the classification will be played in a single game, with the advantage of a draw for the visiting club, best placed according to the BFC National Club Ranking. For example: Altos and Vasco will face each other at the command of the Piaui team. Cruzmaltino will have the advantage of a draw to advance to the next phase.

In the second phase, the field orders will already be defined according to today's draw. But in case of a tie, the dispute will be on penalties.

From the round of 16 will enter the competition the clubs classified for the Libertadores of America Cup (Flamengo, Athletico-PR, Santos, Palmeiras, Gremio, Sao Paulo, International and Corinthians) and the champions of the Brazilian Serie B (Bragantino), Northeast Cup (Fortaleza) and Green Cup (Cuiabá).

Frei Paulistano, current sergipano champion, is in key three and will face Remo-PA, current champion of Pará and who plays in the Brazilian Serie C. Who wins will face the winner of Brusque-SC (current champion of Serie D) or Sport-PE (which is back in Brasileirão).

The Lagarto, symbolic champion of the first phase of the Sergipano Championship, is in key seven and will face Volta Redonda-RJ, representative of the Cariocão and Brazilian Serie C. Whoever wins will face the winner of Imperatriz-MA (representative of the Brazilian Serie C) or Vitória-BA (representative of the Brazilian Serie B).

Teams of Libertadores will enter the round of 16 and may face each other head-on

In the round of 16 will enter the tournament: the teams competing for Libertadores Cup: Athlético-PR, Corinthians, Flamengo, Grêmio, Internacional, Palmeiras, Santos and Sao Paulo; Bragantino (Series B champion); Fortaleza (Northeast Cup champion) and Cuiabá (Green Cup champion). The news is that, unlike the previous year, all teams will be in the same pot in the draw of the round of 16. That is, the teams competing in the continental tournament can duel each other right away.

About the 2020 tournament:

• The first phase will be a single game, with the worst ranked team acting as the home team. The visitor will play for the draw;
• The second phase will also be in single game. The client will be drawn. A draw leads to a penalty shootout;
• Thursday's draw sets the team's path to the third round, when duels begin in two games;
• Matches of the fourth phase - round of 16 and quarter-finals - will be drawn;
• The decision of the Brazilian Cup will be on September 10 (Thursday) and 16 (Wednesday);
